A Unplanned Emergency Vet visit....

Today Belle had to make an Unplanned trip to the Emergency Vet.....after only being home a few minutes from being at the lake all weekend Willow, Belle and Turbo all jumped up onto the sofa to take a rest. I had to run into town to pick up a few things at the store we needed. Just as I get a half a mile from home Brad calls my cell phone telling me I need to come back home ASAP. all he said is Belle has no use of her hind legs.....I Pull a U-E and flew back home and He is on the phone with the vet explaining her Symptoms. I guess what happened is she jumped off the sofa and fell over. she tried to get back up again and fell over again. Brad picked her up knowing she has no use of her hind legs. At this point she was shaking uncontrollably. My first thought she was having a seizure. The Dr had me meet her at the Vet. I wrapped Belle up in a soft baby blanket and drove her right down. to make a Long appointment short.....she tore her Collateral ligaments in her right knee ....Yep! Not good. and her shaking uncontrollably is a sign of feeling pain or scared.....so right now she is home in some heavy medication and a anti inflammatory. She is no longer shaking...( Thank God!)The Dr told us to keep her confined in a small area ( or crate) to prevent her from trying to walk or trying to jump. we have not had to do either one. all she does is lay in one place. We carry her everywhere. she has not gone potty since her injury yet. I keep carrying her outside to see if she will go but she just falls over. The vet said this may take 3 weeks to feel better. If she continues to show no use of her leg She will have to go back in for surgery. she does not yelp or show signs of it hurting. she just wants to sleep. I hope this heals on it's own....Poor lil Bugger. The Technician helping the Dr was a Woman who we see all the time with Willow and Turbo. She said" Maybe this is Belle's way of getting attention because Willow and Turbo are always here for something and we hardly see Belle" Willow is always there for her allergy's and anal glands and Turbo is always there for follow ups for his eye and collapse trachea....I guess Belle really was sick of being left out....now her medication in with the Pug pharmacy we have going here....we now moved all the from the bread box to the big cabinet.

Here are a few facts on Belle..........

1- She is soooo BOSSY! she wants control over EVERYTHING Willow and Turbo do. If Willow picks up a bone...Belle runs over and takes it from her..If Turbo gets a treat she will jump up and swipe it out of my hands before he has a chance to get it. ( she must know he can't see very well! The little Brat uses that to her advantage sometimes! So we call her Bossy Belle!

2* She is the very first one up in the Morning and runs and jumps up on the sofa and watches the birds at the bird feeder and growls at them.

3* She cleans her food dish and then pushes away Willow and Turbo to finish up what is left in their dishes.

4* she SNORES SO LOUD! even when she is not sleeping. she would win the Noisiest Pug Award. When we are around other people the look around and ask what that noise is...I tell them it is Belle..

5* She seems to think my laundry room is her designated bathroom!

Belle always seems to hold her bones like this and walk around.........

Belle is also very Protective of her bones! Do Not try to take her bone..if you get your hand too close this is the looks she will give you!

Belle has a fetish with Coat hangers and Soda boxes...she sat on this one and she Crushed it! soon after this picture was taken my kitchen was covered in shredded pieces of this soda box.

Belle also does not have very nice posture. she is also not very lady like. She lets it all hang out! She lays in the strangest positions.

Hello! It is me Willow!!!

here are a few facts on Willow..

1. she is the sweetest one out of the 3. she is so easy going and will share anything she has with Belle or Turbo.

2. she is the worst smelling one out of the 3. I think it may have to do with her Skin allergy.

3. She knows the most tricks she can ...shake, dance, High five,

4. She goes to bed when her Daddy goes to bed

5. She is a Daddy's girl

She loves to soak up the warm sun...

She sleeps under the covers all night long....

Hey There Pretty Lady! It is me Turbo!

Here are a few facts on Turbo.

1 Turbo loves to go for rides...I take Turbo every Monday Morning with me to Dunkin Donuts for a ride. he loves to go for rides and sits up in the front seat like a big boy. He gets a Donut Hole for a treat. He loves his Big boy seat in my car... I love taking his along with me on Mondays..I think he can tell when Monday rolls around. When I bring him out to pee he runs straight for the car. But he only does this on Monday no other day.

2. He has such a nice natural smell to him. He smells like a tangerine.

3. His natural smell must make up for his Horrible Breath. He is always blowing his bad breath in our faces...( we don't mind tho)

4. He has a Gas issue. He toots all the time. sometimes out loud! We call him Stinky Pete on his gassy nights.

5. When he lays down he will scoot and few inches off and on. He pushes himself with his hind legs. I think he likes the cool floor under his belly. I think once it get warm he will scoot until he feels the coolness on his belly.

6. He sleeps in the longest..there are days when he will sleep until 8am. ( Willow sleeps late Too) He can't jump off the bed so he will sit and wait for me patiently to check on him to see if he is ready to get up.

This is how he always lays down..... with his hind legs kicked out.

He never will sleep in the bed he always is hanging out of the bed....

Sometimes when he smiles he like to show his tooth...

Turbo usually smells good but when he toots he is no Rose!

When Turbo lays down for a quick rest he usually finds an area with a wall. He will always will put his face up against a wall or furniture. I thin it may be becasue he cant see that well and this makes him feel secure.

He looks like he is in Time Out!



I think Turbo makes a Handsome Pirate...what do you think?

Big Brother Loves his Little Sister....

Turbo really loves Belle, He used to be a Loner...not wanting much to do with Willow or Belle...Now he wants to be with Belle at all times. Once they get setteled in he often lays his paw over Belle. Sometimes he kicks his back feet so fast and hard, All he is doing is trying to get comfortable and Poor Belle flies off the sofa!

They get along so well. I am so HapPy to have Turbo in our lives....he is such a Love.

Sorry to throw this into such a Happy Post...I just learned this infomation...I would Love to find the Creep who did this......

A message for Sandy!

Tori received a beautiful bouquet of Flowers from Sandy for her 14th Birthday. YELLOW roses and Daisy's. ( Daisies are my favorite flower) Sandy is so thoughtful and so Kind. She always thinks of us on our special days..and sometimes she surprises us with a package at our door for a Just Because....She is a lovely Person who Tori really wants to meet in real life some day along with her Furkids.... I told her to keep on wishing....................

Green Mountain's Pug social 2007

We had so much fun at the Pug social....I will write more about it soon until then enjoy the slide show.........

We had to get up really early, ride in the car for a couple hours to attend the Green Mountain Pug Social then take the long 2 hours ride back home. ( Willow,Belle and Turbo slept the whole way home!)

HaPpY 14 Tori Bean!!!

14 years ago tonight............

14 years ago tonight I was Fat, Cranky, scared, excited, anxious and not sure if I was ready for what was coming 3 days shy of my due date....I remember as if was yesterday. Brad called into work saying I was having contractions ( which I wasn't he just wanted a day off of work) so we went shopping, out to Lunch. We bought the Movie "Cliff Hanger" packed my hospital bag and read through the Book,"What to Expect when you are expecting" I read that book cover to cover over and over... we setteled in and watched the movie. as I laid on the living room floor flat on my back I placed a clear glass of water on my very pregnant belly and watched the water trickle with the movements and kicks from Tori moving around inside. She even had the Hiccups that night. close to when the movie was to end I got up to brush my teeth. As I stood up and proceed to walk over Brad who was laying on the floor I felt a GUSH, Brad said..." what was that? what was that on my feet? I quickly sat back down and Cried..I cried so hard...I said I am scared, I think my water just broke....( On Brads feet) He called the Dr. she said to time the contractions and when they go close apart to call and head to the Hospital...( the Hospital is 30 minutes away) My contractions really didn't start so I told him to get some sleep it looks like it is going to be a long night. My water kept trickling so I sat on the toilet and cried and read "What to expect when you're expecting" again.. Brad fell asleep and My contractions started up. some were so bad. I didn't want to wake him so I tip toed up stairs and called my Mum I talked with her while I was contracting and she really helped me through some biggies. I remember mentioning to her I feel like this is a 911 call. Just having my Mum on the other line made it so much easier. They got pretty hard and close so I woke Brad around 3am and we took the what was supposed to be a 30 minute ride was more like a 15 minute ride. I took a Gallon Jug of Orange Hi C out of the fridge and drank that on the way. Clinching my seat belt in agony. Once I arrived the Hospital I was greeted by a team of nurses who took great care of me I remember what I was wearing too. I had on my Cool Panel elastic waist jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt ( little things like this I seem to remember)...I was checked and was told I did well staying home as long as I did because I was 7 cm dilated. I was getting uncomfortable and tired, I looked over to find Brad asleep! I had a ball of flex clay I had in my hand to squeeze when I felt a contraction so I chucked it at him and yelled at him for not helping me.... My labor progressed to the point where I could not stand it anymore...I received a Spinal and it gave me a allergic reaction and did absolutely nothing for the pain it just added to it...I itched and itched and itched all over my body...so I am pushing and itching at the same time...No fun, No fun at all. after about 8 hours of labor and an hour of Pushing I gave Birth at 9:48 am. Tori with Full head of dark hair..I though I had a sasquatch! she even had dark on her ears! she was so tiny. 5lb 14 oz.........here is what she looks like today.......

A Little Bit Of Our Day Today......

Tori's turn for the Bug. She has been coughing for just about 2 weeks now along with a low grade fever. She missed one day of school last Wednesday because of a fever and cough. It never really seemed to go away. It seemed just linger and cause more discomfort. She went to school today and this morning the School Nurse called me to let me know she was concerned with Tori's cough and thought it should be looked at by her Doctor she said she was OK to be at school but if she got worse she said she will have to be dismissed... So I called and they saw her today after school...Her Diagnosis is.......Bronchitis! My first thought was ..( Did she get it from Turbo???) what a coincidence? Having a Pug and a child with the same illness. ( Funny) The Doctor also check Whitney out too because she is still coughing...Not nearly as bad as Tori tho. He said he thought Whitney just needed a few more days to kick it and to just let it take it's own course but Tori having a low grade fever, swollen glands, all congested she needed to be on an antibiotic and a day out of school tomorrow to let the antibiotic kick in and a good rested day....She hopes she is better by Friday. Her School is having a School dance and it is her 14th BiRtHdAy. If she misses school she can't go to the dance. also she and her friends have Big Plans for a BiRtHdAy Party that night...( Details to come)

My goodness was the Dr.'s office room boiling! the sun was beating in the windows and the heat was on...No wonder she had a fever! The Dr walked and and said Wow it is warm in her and cranked opened up the window. I felt like I was in a Sauna.
( when We woke up this morning I could smell something odd....OUR HEAT WAS ON! it was int he low 30's last night!)

Whitney finished up her homework on the Dr.'s Desk as we waited for the Dr. we waited like 20+ minutes.......

A little Pug Medication............

I made a Grilled panini and Tomato soup for her dinner...I bought her some Cute comfy Pj's to wear............

And I bought Whitney some MOON SAND for being so well behaved during Tori's Dr. Visit.

She has been wanting Moon sand for so long....So today was a good day for her to be rewarded with some.........Tori must really not be feeling well...This is something we don;t see much here...her sitting with her sister and being nice...They played with this for hours tonight....

Now I must end this post and go clean up all the Moon Sand on the Floor...........
