Welcome to our Home away from Home......

Can I say Spontaneous decision??? As most of you know that My Parents have a seasonal camper at a Campground not to far from our town about a 20 minute ride. and we spent all last weekend there due to all the fun. we had so much fun we thought how nice it would be for us and mostly the kids to have a place there too. We talked about it and knew there is now way we could pull it off with having a brand new house, new mortgage and our taxes are incredibly high...we figured it was a goal to work towards with in the next couple of years. My in laws heard us talking so highly of the time we had there and came to us an offered to pay for our seasonal site and a camper...OMG you have got to be kidding Me! We would NEVER would of asked of such a thing ever! They did this on their own. Every year they pay for us to go away for vacation so instead of us going to Florida for our Winter vacations and Maine for our Summer vacations. our Seasonal camper will be our vacation. We told them to really think about this. Because it is such a HUGE expense. they were sure and told us to go look for something we wanted. Brad and I have looked for the past few days at so many campers. to many to count. we looked at some Preowned ones and some were very nice and Clean ( that is a + ) some didn't look used at all....but the price people were asking for used we figured to look at the new ones. so we went to a few camper dealers. and OMG some were so nice with regular toilets, tables with chairs rather than bench seats. some even had a Gas fireplace in them. Welcome to Camping 2006 style! anyway they were so ridiculous in the prices we looked at on for $60,000 just for kicks....Ha! these were better than my new House! I found myself looking for a camper that would accommodate the pugs and Belle's crate none were big enough. I wont get a camper that wouldn't work for the Pugs. Our Lab will only come once in awhile there is only a 2 dog limit there. besides he is a 100 lb and not that much room there for him. he will come once in awhile. He will stay at My in Laws the days we stay at the camp. or My husbands uncle who lives across the street from us. So I kept looking for one to accommodate all of us. Pretty stressful but we found one. it is a 2007 32 foot camper with a slide out in the living room dining area to allow more space the kids have their own bunk house with 2 sets of bunk beds TV center, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, nice kitchen and living area. our room has a queen bed and a wall entertainment center. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO MY WONDERFUL IN-LAWS Exterior............

ya they are pretty great! Not everyone gets along with their in-laws but we have a great relationship. very close.... They are very thoughtful, caring, generous people. I am very fortunate to have them as in-laws. We have many great summers ahead of us....we will be keeping the camper there year round so it will be there every year for us to enjoy and make great memories while the kids are still young.

Oh, what a wonderful gift from your in-laws. Great memories will be made and good times had for many years. I'm so happy for y'all. I can't wait to see pictures of your adventures all summer. I love the bunk beds for the girls. It's such a great thing for family life to be together like that. I like that fabric in it, too!! sandy

Congratulations! I know your going to have tons of fun with hubby/girls/pugs! Ours is 37 foot with slide out and bedrooms in front and back. Now that the kids are older we kind of wish we only had bunk area instead of a whole room, but we haven't found anything that we would trade for! It's so nice having it parked and just going there - little or no maintenance. Your lucky your camp is sooooooooo close. Our's is 2 hours and 15 minutes from home. How far is yours from the Thousand Islands????? HAHA stop over!
